Loved, loved, loved Cinder ! Not only a fantastic twist on the Cinderella tale but a wonderful audio book. - Instead of losing her slipper she lost her......; 0 You have to read this if you love fairy tales.
Cinder has the abusive stepmother, the rotten step sisters, well one, he other is actually nice. Cinder is adopted, an adopted cyborg with no memory of her past before a terrible accident that left her- a cyborg. Cyborgs are treated as slaves, to be bought and sold at will. Which her widowed

I really should have started reading this soon and I feel like I’m late to the game lol
Anyway I really enjoyed it. I’m a huge sucker for fairytale retellings or inspired on so this was just such a treat to read.

I liked it until the end when it abruptly stopped. Minus 2 stars for an incomplete story. I'll give the next book a chance, but if this is what the whole series is like I'm dumping it. ...more

When I first added this to my list, I wasn't sure this would really be something I would like. If I had made a shelf of maybe-but-unlikely, this would have gone there. Why? I love fantasy and urban fantasy and some sci-fi. This, to me, is more sci-fi than any other label I've seen slapped on it. I didn't know if I would like the cyborg thing or anything. What attracted me to this was the fairytale retelling. That is what got it on the list. What got it into my hands was a TBR challenge of pickin

This book has been on my to read list for a long while now and a book group I'm in picked it for this month's read, so I bought it to join in and was very pleasantly surprised. It is supposed to be a YA book, but it didn't really feel like one. Yes, the main character was young, but not a schoolgirl.

Cinder is a cyborg, mostly human with a few futuristic enhancements following a serious accident many years before. She lives with her adoptive mother/guardian and 2 adoptive sisters; one being nice

a pleasant (and predictable) retelling on an overtold classic. i’ll read all them, even though they are for 14 year olds.
