I found this book really engrossing, but my god, it is relentlessly grim. There's a lot of child abuse and sexual abuse and violence - A LOT - so if you're not feeling that, don't read this book.
I really liked the sort of epic poetry feel of it, and I enjoyed reading something based in dialogue with a dialect a little different from mine.
