Frivolous dispensation of death. Or, rather, a statistical one. The result is not exactly a postmortem society.
A book on a world with a decidedly idiotic population with an idiotic AI: instead of striving to build a greater civilization, they are busy guarding death. If one thinks in terms of economic resources, these people could have been motivated to do all kinds of things other than pursuits of pleasure and the tremors of expecting death.

I have been wanting to read this book for quite some time! Every time I saw someone post about this book or seen its peculiar cover on book sites my heart would flutter, and it would call to me to buy it! Therefore, when it was on sale on Audible, I instantly took the opportunity to buy this book and claim it as my own! I am happy that I did though I do not really care to read the rest of the series.

For some reason, I have to open this book up four times before I started reading it. I finally started the book as I had joined in on a Buddy Read.
I don't know why it took me so long to start this book but I wish it had not.
I enjoyed the book greatly. The characters are well written. I the plot is wonderful and great to discuss and debate with anyone.
I definitely recommend this book to all to read and will be reading the next book soon (hopefully). ...more
