I cried. Twice.
This book could be a fairy-tale about two magical creatures in New York.
It could be a story about the different ways people arrive in a new country, and the different ways in which they learn to fit in - or not.
It could be a discussion of free will, morality, how far responsibility for one's actions and their consequences extends, and what constitutes happiness.

This book was definitely NOT up my alley. I enjoy fantasy fiction and I thought this would be similar and it really isn't. The story line sounded so fascinating that I couldn't help myself but pick it up and to try and read it, but to be honest I never finished it. I got about 70 pages in before I realized it just wasn't for me. Every tiny nuance of the characters are expressed to the most infinitesimal details.
