Ok - seriously - the only reason this one is getting 3 stars is because, well, it is KATE. Which may not ACTUALLY be fair because I might have rated it HIGHER had I not had expectations.

My biggest problem with this one is it lacked all the things I love about Kate Daniels - primarily the relationships. I love all the characters in this series and I love spending time with them. But, I felt this story was full of character contradictions - and it really annoyed me.

OK, the Ilona Andrews team rocks my world once again. This series is one of my favorites. It has everything - Kick Ass Action, battles, humor, snark, romance and great characters. It was mind blowing how so many characters evolved through out this series.

It starts off with a hell of a kick in the teeth. I almost had a heart attack!!! So many twists and turns. I literally was not able to put it down because I literally did not know what the hell was going to happen next.

Can I just say this series is absolutely amazing. Also, I know I might be mostly alone in this, but I love how there isn't sex scenes allllll the time. Like 1 or 2 a book, which is totally reasonable.

I don't know how I'll live with waiting when I've been able to read them all so far without much wait :( but, it will be worth it!! ...more
