Hold my tea while I puke....
Each time I read an NG's novel the 1st time around, it is unexplicably lovely and incredibly insightful and full of lovely passages that I just want to gobble up and can't have enough of.
Whenever I do the 2nd read, his books turn out to be full of ultimate crap: incoherent, nasty to the brim and full of characters thatneed mushroom-induced piss to drink are seriously fucked up (not in a good way).
And it's giving me a whiplash.

Generally, I like Gaiman books-- not always 5 stars, but enough that I can say I like them. Most I've even listened too, so I thought this book would also follow the same line for me. It did start off GREAT. I was loving this one.

This was not the story I expected when I read this book but this was a fantastic adventure. Gaiman is an excellent storyteller and he kept me on my toes. I could not have predicted this story and I just savored it. I loved and hated the characters. Gaiman's explanation at the end of the audiobook was also good insight into this story.
