I really enjoyed this book. I picked this book because it appealed to me. There were a few moments where I was not sure how I felt about it. Between the characters and Tristian Dragon, I was unsure if I would like it or not with certain scenes. At first I did not feel the main characters love interest but the more I read the better it got. I loved the sass from the FMC and I liked that the two did not back down from each other. I enjoyed this book. Any book that makes me nervous to turn the page is a good book. The chemistry between Tristan and Mel was intriguing and the interactions with the surrounding characters was just enough to peek my interest in the series. I only wish her human family would have had a little bit more of a role. She did all of it for her brother but after she went to dragonland there was no more talk of them.
