This story was recommended to me as a must read Highlander historical but after reading the first book I'm not even sure I want to continue with the series.
It actually started entertaining. It genuinely gave me a few laugh-out moments. I wasn't bothered by the fact that the detailing of their first encounter sounded a bit too juvenile because it at least kept me reading. Soft romance, somewhat interesting, very light reading, not enough world building. I did not care for it enough to continue with this author.
