OMG!!!
Q:
“Are they very poor?” I ask Ana Kuya.
“Not so poor as others.”
“Then why doesn’t he buy a donkey?”
“He doesn’t need a donkey,” says Ana Kuya. “He has a wife.”
“I’m going to marry Alina,” Mal says.

I'm not sure how I can like this book while not liking it for some many reasons, but here we are.
More my thoughts about book than an actual review.
Alina: Who are you? No really... do you know? Did you have any outside interests besides Mal? Hobbies? Friends? The "Wallflower" thing is so overdone. The "best friend doesn't know I'm in love him and he only finally SEES me when another man does" is also so gross. Do you even like Mal or is he like a security blanket you can't bear to let go?
