I really enjoyed parts of this one, other parts were a little slow. The start is good the end is fabulous, the between is alright. The second half in particular had some dragging moments.
Mal drives me crazy, I cannot stand his and Alina's relationship. Loved Nikolai's character, and the twins. The palace intrigue is okay, nothing special. Didn't get as much explanation of Grisha powers as I would like. I still like the Darkling, I'd like to know his actual name, but he still fascinates me.
