I couldn't help but be drawn in by such a great storyline. It was different from any book I've read. The virus that is plaguing man kind is such terrible thing and we experience its devastating effects for the first time along with Rhine.

I think this was flawless writing. We get back stories but the memories don't break up the story line, but instead we get some great insight into Rhine's life before becoming a wife and what it is that she so desperately clings on to. Truthfully, I wasn't expect ...more

i found this book after seeing it a few times at my local book store. It caught my just by the cover and when i read the blurb i thought it had to be mine and what did i find out i didn't bring any money so i had to wait a full week. When i read it i couldn't out the thing down it's emotions all through the book made it twist and turn. Shelves: ya-fantasy

Scientist have cured desease but they have also caused the downfall of the human race. The first generation are almost immortal but the later generations all die young; males die around age 25 and females die around 20 years of age. I found the storey line very interesting. Good read.

Shelves: meh

As some of the other reviewers here have pointed out, there are a lot of flaws with the dystopian setting here. However, some strong writing and characterization made me like it somewhat, despite that.
