I am so disappointed. This was such a different experience from the first two books in the series. It was too wordy, too disjointed with the POV's and when it finally got everyone together for the ending that may not have been a popular choice, but a good emotional one, the author changed into a HEA- and the story ended with a nice purple bow. ...more

This was one of the best books and series I have ever read!! An absolute must read if you like, well, reading. Laini Taylor is intelligent, funny, witty, and an incredible story teller.

Obviously Taylor has a proper appreciation for chocolate as seen through Zuzana.
And one of the best kisses ever with Akiva and Karou flying over the Vatican. Cool!

4.5 stars - I really liked this.

I finally (finally!) Finished listening to Dreams of Gods & Monsters, it was eighteen hours of listening since it is over six hundred pages of print. I have to admit though that I cruised the quotes for this so I had a spoiler that helped prepare me for one part. I the story even though there was one spot where it could have ended - it would have been a cliffhanger though and the real ending was better.
