Days of Blood & Starlight is the second book in the Daughter of Smoke & Bone Trilogy. I gave it a 4 star rating but honestly I think it was more of a 3.75. I upped it because towards the end it did get a bit better and I am looking forward to the next book.

I was afraid of what would happen in this book with the way things ended in Daughter of Smoke & Bone, but even with the world (and the lovers) torn apart this was still really really good. It helps that I just love Taylor's writing and that writing translates well to audio with Khristine Hvam doing a great job of bring the story to life. What else can I say? This is my second time reading this trilogy and it is every bit as wonderful as it was the first time around. I am listening to it and the reader is quite good. I highly recommend the auditory version if you like being read to. ...more

Probably more like 4.5 stars. I was surprised to enjoy this more than Daughter of Smoke and Bone! Probably the only negative here was that Karou really pissed me off a couple times.
