3.5 stars. I was quite surprised when this book was not about the same characters. It was in the same world, although, Gracelings and Dellions do not know about each other. The love story was far too similar to the first in my opinion but otherwise I enjoyed the storyline. My favorite character was Brigdan. Fire cried too much and I felt like Cashore was trying too hard with differentiating Fire and Katsa.
