This wasn't an easy read. In the first book, we don't know the outcome of whether or not Tristian is alive. We see the birth of Dorian and the book comes to an end. The beginning of this we see that 7 years has gone by. And Alexis is still in a very emotional grieving process. I had a couple problems with this. 3.75 Stars. This book started out strong and ended strong. It’s much more grown up than the first book and I loved the way Alexis’s character had developed between Promise and Purpose. She’s a little broken, and very real. Where I had some problems with this book was the middle. Tristan’s return is wonderful but his relationship with Alexis quickly gets lovey-dovey. I get that they needed time to reunite, but I felt like the middle of this book got a little too mushy.

I am at a loss of words and I feel like if I start talking I won't stop. Just know it's amazing, beautiful, breath taking, and magnificient. This book make me want my own Tristan.
