I come to this book from the TV series, so my view on the is tinged by what I've seen on my screen.
Cocaine Blues, as an introduction to a new series and character, was a rather lovely book. Greenwood unsurprisingly develops her characters much more than they are in the television series, and her grasp on characterization is undoubtedly her greatest strength, in my opinion.
