So great to see Doc Savage "officially" back in action again, after a nearly two decade absence. The Desert Demons is penned by Will Murray (AKA "Kenneth Robeson") and it is really good-the action takes place in 1936 and the novel reads as if it were one of the original Savage adventures. Murray has the vernacular down pat (pun intended) and the action rings true. Murray manages to work elements of the entire series into this book-it is like a feast for a starving man.
