What Members Thought
I can't remember if I read this as a child, but if I did, I imagine I was alternately bored and confused by it. That's why I'm glad I read it now. It's a quiet, gentle, meditative. Some kids may enjoy the comical adventures of Toad and the close friendship between Rat and Mole. But most of their adventures (with a few exceptions, usually involving Toad) aren't that exciting and action packed. A lot of what happens with the characters happens internally.
