I've been meaning to get around to reading the Temperance Brennan books for years, but somehow never quite managed it.

I'm glad I finally did.

Tempe is not your usual detective story protagonist: she's a middle-aged professional woman with a failed marriage and an alcohol problem in her past, but with a solid career in the present. So I am a huge fan of the TV show Bones, I love it, I will watch it over and over. I knew it was based on this book series but surprisingly I had never picked up the books. But you need to know, even though the show is based on this book series, the book is nothing like the TV show or rather the TV show is nothing like the books since the books came first.
