The cover is very intriguing especially with the “Meow. Purr. Die. Repeat.” which is what grabbed my attention.

This is the first book in the series, and it is the first time I’ve read this author. This is definitely an adult only book due to the violence.

Shelves: favorites

This is definitely a winning book and hopefully a winning series. I already have book two...I thoroughly enjoyed the world Kalayna has created. I found her characters engaging and likeable. Kita handles becoming a vamp and losing her ability to shift as well as one would expect her to. She spends a lot of time being mad at Nathaniel for turning her but at this point in the series, you find yourself understanding why he did it. I read this years ago and remember really loving it but I don't think I liked it quite as much this time around. Her crappy attitude really irked me most of the time. I wish there would have been more back story to this book also, about all the characters. ...more

This a first book in a new series by Kalayna Price, I really enjoyed it. Kita is on the run and Bobby is looking for her and Nathaniel finds her. As her life has been changed in so many ways, Nathaniel will always be there for her.
On to the next book and I hope there is more to come! I highly recommend this book.
