This book, this terrible beautiful love story, left me wounded and slightly elated. I finished it at 2 am and was so wrapped in it's nightmarish drama I cried till morning. The pain of the loss, of dreams never to come, of the Hollywood ending I hoped for. No, this story is gritty, heartbreakingly realistic and truthful.

I finished this last night and all I could do when I closed the book was sit in silence. I find that this is a touchy book to review. I found myself hoping and hoping that we will get this beautiful ending that something miraculous will happen but sometimes in life there isn't a happy ending. But then again that's one side of the coin. Sometimes your love isn't enough and some battles no matter how you much you fight you can't win.

I didn't really know what to expect from this. After making an impulsive purchase of this book, I left it for a couple of months.
I recently picked it up because I had nothing else to read, and it instantly gripped me. In some ways, it was emotionally exhausting, and left me the way one feels after a weekend of constant sobbing mixed in with some alcohol. But I don't regret reading it, because it also re-ignited me with joie de vivre.
