Under normal circumstances this book would be completely unbelievable. However the author did an amazing job of providing a back story that make Marnie seem realistic. Coming from a childhood that she had it only seem natural to finally just let go. Jake was a wonderfully written character that kept me completely interested the whole story. Add in a some chemistry, bad guys, over protecting family and a bit of humor and you have a great book.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Not a lot of action in the first half of the book but I enjoyed the chemistry between Marmie and Jake. He's a typical tortured hero, but Marmie sets her cap for him and it was an amusing read. I loved the way she irritated him. There was a lot more action in the second half of the book. The bad guy was a disappointing oaf. Overall, I enjoyed the book. There were some very sweet moments too. ...more
