I just can't seem to get through this book. The beginning told me this was going to be an awesome story, but after all the excitement, I quickly got bored. It started to feel like NR's Boonsboro Inn series with all the technical details about building and lighting etc, but now its all about photography, mechanics and any other profession of whatever person happens to be in focus. Then there is all the bartering of her photos... not very believable. It just totally takes away from the story itsel ...more

I think this is Nora Roberts' first non-traditional family setup and I love it, even if the uncles weren't a huge part of the story. There were a huge part of the protagonist's development, however. As for the mystery, it was good. I got a such a thrill when I figured out who the killer was halfway through the story. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. ...more
