I've been on a re-reading spree recently, anyone else try something familiar?

The perpetrator was obvious. It's a wonder the characters didn't see it until the last chapter.
However, the main characters are likeable: Gull and Rowan - both strong and secure in each other's eyes. Also, Nora Roberts gave detailed accounts of the smoke jumpers and made me realize just how important and dangerous their jobs are.

I was ok with at first, bored by the fire stuff but ok, then Ella happened and the chemistry between Ro and Gull was just non existent and I couldnt wait for the book to end and I ended up skimming the last 20% (i never ever skim.. like that's so rare, i dont even remember when I last did that. Like I will hate/spite read the book through but not skim).

Ugh... stupid perfect Ella. All the signs leading to some kind of weird serial killer/ psycho vibes..
