This is more like 2.75 stars.
If it wasn't for the fast paced action, I think I would've given it 2 stars.
It wasn't bad... It was just kinda meh. It started good but after about 60% it got really annoying. I felt no difference between the female and male char, when I was "in their mind". Plus, they seemed just too perfect. I didn't feel like they were real.
But hey, I, for one, like the novels that have training sessions, tactics, that take place while the characters are at "school", more or less ...more

I really enjoyed this first book. I'm really hoping I'll enjoy the rest of the series, the reason I doubt about the series is because the whole series is about her(Sam).
I'm a little saddened because there are SO many characters and so many powers going on in this first book that she could make a ton of books with each character and/or even a spin off series but because she didn't/doesn't we have to view them all in the background.
