When I read that the main character, Arcadia Bell, owned a tiki bar, I immediately thought of Mercy Thompson and her repair shop, so I anticipated enjoying this book.

I should know better than to have any expectations before diving into a book and I definitely should never compare a book to one that I really like before I even start to read it.

It's not that I didn't like Arcadia Bell, I just didn't love her. She wasn't someone that I could see myself hanging out with or buying a drink from. And ...more
