Hmm, I liked this book... I think.
See, it starts out okay, gets pretty interesting, then sort of peters off into la-la land in the end. That's my not-quite-eloquent way of saying it wasn't really cohesive as a book. However, it was different and still somewhat interesting.
His other books are similar - aspiring to be original and interesting, but the "twist on a fairy tale" theme will only get an author so far. I tend to end up feeling ambivalent about his books, because they just don't quite li ...more
