Love the entire series. Enjoyable to read. Sookie is a bright, strong leading character. I love that she does not want to rely on a man to survive her day-to-day life.

A fantastic first book in this great series!!! So different from the True Blood TV series that I no longer really think of them as being the same thing - related, yes but as the TV series doesn't strictly follow the books, I like to think of them as separate things.

We meet the lovely Sookie, her new vampire boyfriend Bill, the lucious Eric and many others! I love how Sookie and Bill's relationships starts out and I know it won't be an easy ride for her!

Although I found this book and characters entertaining, I thought the writing style was not up to par with what I'm used to. I had a hard time believing the chemistry between the main characters, Sookie and Bill and found their romantic encounters to be brief ...more
