I read this "back in the day". I loved it. We all loved it. It was dark, brooding,delicious. Then they gave us "The Movie". We were disappointed. Yet we watched it anyway. I read this again, I was part of a lively discussion regarding this novel. I wanted to see if it still held the same feelings. It was still dark, brooding delicious. BUT I could not wipe the image of Brad Pitt's face off of Lewis or of Tom Cruise's face off of Lestat. It was terribly distracting. It did a disservice to them. A ...more
