I really liked it. It was pure entertainment for me. The heroine was strong independent with a dark past, who just happens to be the Grim reaper. She has been 'haunted' by this dusty shadow her whole life, it have saved her life many times, and yet she fears it. The ghosts attracted to her because of her job fear it. Although she feels some comfort that it's always there, since her birth, which she remembers from her first breath on. Oh, and her eventual love interest, is something. -Very differ ...more

WOW! This series has it all: romance, sexual tension, suspense, intrigue, and comedy. The characters are witty and compelling. Jones does a superb job creating a realistic climate that allows the lead character, Charlie, to use her talent of seeing ghosts as the "Grim Reaper" while still concealing her true identity. This was my first ever read by Daranda Jones and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Charley Davidson is a grim reaper who can see and interact with ghosts as well as working as a private investigator who helps out her detective Uncle Bob or Ubie as she loves to call him. She helps the ghosts to pass on to their next life when they are ready, but not everyone believes what she can do.

I really enjoyed this one...it had a bit of everything...humor, romance, murder, and Lorelei King does a great job with the narration.
