This surprised me. I enjoyed it more than I expected to. I felt that the first two-thirds of poems (up to around 'Chinatown') were better than the last third, or at least I took more away from them. My favourites were 'Hand', 'Elegy', 'Tea' and 'Chinatown':

I think it is my own heathen tendencies that meant I did not appreciate this collection as much as I should. I found it difficult to find the love.
