This is an excellent expose of the events which occurred before and after the Black Saturday bush fires which exploded outside of Melbourne on February 7 2009. Like the reports of the recent firestorms in Australia in NSW, Victoria and South Australia, the details of the effects of the Churchill fire upon the natural landscape, the wildlife and humanity are distressing in the extreme.
