I think it must have cost Tara Westover dearly to write this soul searching, wise memoir.
How difficult for her to write about her parents, family and church with love, respect and forgiveness when it is the people in these circles who denied her the most basic of her rights as a child - rights based on what a child needs to survive, grow, participate and fulfill their potential.
