This is an entertaining mystery set in the early 1950s in England. It reminds me of other mysteries set in this time, and the characters and setting are interesting. It manages to include elements of Cold War spying, cosy mysteries and English country life. It also highlights it is important to not make assumptions, there are enjoyable twists and meanders.
