What Members Thought

Terry Pratchett was at his height (and he so often is) when he wrote Witches Abroad. His rich treatment of the characters within the novel is a hallmark of his work, as is his sympathetic view on humanity. Granny and Nanny are a tour-de-force in this work, which shifts effortlessly from poignant moments (such as the Red Riding Hood section) to straight out humour (such as the river boat scene).
