-Elaida is now the Amyrlin, after leading the coup against Suian Sanche
-Suian, Leane, and Min are traveling in disguise with Logain
-Rahvin, a Forsaken, is in Camelyn, disguised as Lord Gaebril, and has charmed Morgase Trakand
-Nynaeve meets Birgitte Silverbow (from The Age of Legends) in Tel'aran'rhiod while trying to hide from Moghedien (Forsaken) after an encounter where she barely beat her in the The Panarch's Palace in Amadicia. Nynaeve and Elayne save Amadicia from the Black Ajah using Bale fire, saving the Panarch from capture.
-Gareth Bryne meets Suian, Leane, and Min after they face trouble for staying in a barn and Logain accidentally burned it down. Gareth seems to be falling in love with Suian
-Asmodean is tutoring Rand in how to wield the power after being captured with the help of Lanfear
-Couladin leads the Shaido Aiel to Cairhien, attempting to take it over.
-Rand beats the Shaido Aiel at Cairhien. Mat is the one to kill Couladin. Mat has been remembering past lives of military command
-Those who opposed Elaida have started a secret rebellion camp in Salidar, Gareth Bryn it to lead the rebellion
-Suian, Leane, and Min are in Salidar, although Suian and Leane are stilled. They are kept to run the eyes and ears of the blue ajah
-Bale fire destroys things to the point that they have never been
-Birgitte Silverbow is thrown from Tel'aran'rhiod and enters the real world. Elayne saves her life by bonding her to herself, something not allowed until full Aes Sedai
-In Cairhien, just before leaving to Camelyn, Lanfear comes to Rand angry that he has been with another woman (Aviendha) and tries to kill him, Moiraine Damodred sacrifices herself to save Rand (as she knew was likely to happen), going through the red door tel'angreal and dies
-Nynaeve captures Moghedien in the dream world using an a'dam and with their powers combined, Nynaeve helps Rand to defeat Rahvin in Tel'aran'rhiod. When Rahvin is dead, Rand has control of Camelyn. By using Bale fire to kill Rahvin, Aviendha, Mat, and A (who were killed by Rahvin moments before) are brought back to life, because it is as if Rahvin never existed.
-Morgase Trakand escapes Rahvin after realizing she has been caught in a spell of mind control, people assume she is dead. She is going out to gather allies and return to take back Camelyn
-Asmodean is killed by someone left un-revealed
