Holy smokes, I just cried uncontrollably. This was a very quick read for me. I didn't love the style/how it was set up with the various narrators, but it grabbed onto my heartstrings and didn't let go so I suppose I shouldn't complain about that. The story surprised me in how much I enjoyed it as I wasn't expecting much, to be honest. I'd recommend reading the end at home, in private, so no one sees the insane amount of tissues you will be using.

I think this is the first Jodi Picoult book I ever read and re-reading it, I remembered exactly why I went and sought out the rest of her books. This book is touching, thoughtful, well-researched and just plain good. Also, sad, but if you know what it's about, that's a given.

I absolutely adore Jodi's writing style. She always creates so much depth to her characters and their lives. This book took a coming-of-age topic and turned it on its head. I enjoyed every moment of it!
