Galloway plays with her prose, arranging it on the page in ways often borrowed from poetry. This isn't an easy book to read, but it's brilliantly written and subtly redemptive. It follows the main character as she slides slowly towards a nervous breakdown, but Galloway finds real humor, pathos and sympathy in her characters and the situation.
