This is a good book, about an issue that is definitely under addressed and needed, but it is definitely an "issue book". Kristin is generally relatable and her story is eye-opening for anyone who thought that gender and sex were two neat boxes everyone fits in, but much of the book feels clinical and like an after school special. This was good, but it was pretty clear that the author felt like the book HAD to be written. We need these books, of course. But it was sometimes a little heavy on the facts.
