This is a good book, about an issue that is definitely under addressed and needed, but it is definitely an "issue book". Kristin is generally relatable and her story is eye-opening for anyone who thought that gender and sex were two neat boxes everyone fits in, but much of the book feels clinical and like an after school special. It is written by a doctor, not by someone self-identified as intersex, so some of it feels like a lecture in the diagnosis and the dealing with it. People around her ar
