A very deft touch on this prose, with a few stark tales sketching the setting ably, and character of a few personnages coming out through their actions. Appreciated. More to reflect on...

I listened to this book on my commute. To say I enjoyed this book would be the wrong way to say it. It was an enlightening book. I am a privileged white male, so I will never understand what this book details so well. I think it is important to read books like this to remind us, regardless of our color, how bad things were, and that we still have further to go.
