What Members Thought

I did not choose to purchase this book. I didn't actually choose to bring it into my life at all. My feelings about Mindy Kaling and her humor are... complicated. I read her first book with much excitement and felt like a deflated balloon by the end of it. My disappointment solidified my complicated feelings about her. I could take her or leave her, and I had mostly decided to leave her. It isn't Mindy Kaling's job to please me personally, also, so it's hard to judge a memoir I guess?

you know when you're chatting with your friend on facebook and you monologue some fun anecdotes of your day and probably at some point start bouncing nonsense off each other because what if you ran away together to become llama farmers in peru? you would have a peaceful wonderful time until that columbian drug cartel caught up with you and you have to somehow defend your choice to run off with their money to fund the llama farm and maybe run a second con to get out of the first one and then...
