The witch trial part of this book was one of my favorite pieces of literature from childhood, and it holds up, really well. The enslavement and settler colonialism parts of this book, though, the ones that are wildly racist, weren't ok then, but now I'm older and wiser and have been exposed to a lot more people and can see that they're not ok. ...more
