It is simply an honour to be able to read Ferrante’s writing. She is a genius at expressing in words every aspect of the journey of womanhood. The Neapolitan quartet is primarily an in-depth exploration of female friendship, however the other relationships she delves into, whether parental/spousal/workplace are equally detailed. The characters and their experiences are so well drawn that the books feel completely personal and leave you wondering if any of it is autobiographical.
