What Members Thought

I was told of this book by Slayra, who had an extra copy. As a rule I never say no to a given book, even if the subject doesn't appeal me, so I kept it. I must confess that I picked it up with some apprehension, not that I doubt her reviews (after all she was right when she couldn't finish reading Twilight *whistles innocently*) but the theme didn't seemed quite my thing. Builds a great world and convincing society - fresh spin on all too common teen life lessons. Wish the narrator didn't make Shay sound like a lisping 9 year old and David a pouty 10 year old, but cool book. Eagerly reading book 2. Great last line!

A well-thought out world. Suffers from the all-too common "let's teach those teens some life lessons" impulse which I find a little obvious and obnoxious. However, I will be reading the next book in the series. I do love all the slang!

The heroine lacked something that would've made her likable for me. Otherwise a fun read.
