I think it's 3.5 stars for me. It was auspicious that I'd just started this book when Ruth Bader Ginsburg died; the Supreme Court was on my mind so much this week. Rita Moreno reads the audio, so it's expertly, compellingly-narrated, and that is one of the best parts of the audiobook. Much to admire, and very relatable. I loved hearing about her career progression, as well as the more personal aspects, like her relationship with her mother and her management of diabetes.
The audiobook narration was fantastic, almost like sitting with a friend for a cup of coffee.

I found myself sharing similar experiences being a first born generation to immigrant parents. That balance of two worlds makes things difficult. I found myself chuckling when she explained how others helped her with basic things like how to study. I absolutely could relate.

I LOVED this book. Excellent and honest story telling. As a woman and as a minority there was so much I could relate to you. She is the embodiment of the American Dream.
