High school is a breeding ground for angst, confusion, drama, rumors, and heartache. For Alice, life was never the same after one rumor ballooned into an entire persona that she wasn't. Told from multiple perspectives, Matheiu never misses a beat, becoming each individual character as they reveal a piece of Alice's story and their own role in it, as well as their own stories. Sad but true and definitely a worthwhile read for those in middle/high school.

Young adult story told in multiple points of view that illustrates, without being preachy, the power of rumor and people's various fearful reasons for creating and spreading them. Main characters reminded me of those in Heathers. Read in one sitting.
