Around the Year Reading Challenge Item #2: A book set in a different continent
The more historical fiction I read, the more I wonder whether it's just not the genre for me, even though I like history and the ability to travel "back in time" through reading.

Well, my last book on the GR most-read-all-time list (world) was somewhat disappointing. Have you ever read a book that everyone has loved, found it to be less than amazing, and wondered if you're just an idiot who's missing something?...Yeah. While parts of the story were interesting and I found myself getting caught up in them, and it was basically likable most of the time, I also had many criticisms and was somewhat surprised this was a most-read.
