I happen to know I read this book exactly 25 years ago, but I didn’t remember any specifics about plot or characters. I’m guessing that I found it a dissatisfying romance and was distracted wondering about why the person who had given the book to me thought I should read it.

Ahhhh! So good! I understand the incomprehensible craziness that is upper class living! I am speechless! I adore Wharton's writing style! I absolutely could not stop reading this.

Wow... Wharton definitely has a theme with regards to relationships.
Loved it.
Excellent writing, tension & character views.
Don't remember much, except that I really liked it (and that it was a lot better than Ethan Frome, which I had to read in high school!).
