What Members Thought
I looked for this after seeing the excellent miniseries done by the BBC a few years back. While interesting and at times compelling in its narrative quality, the narrative could at times fall back on a dry recital of historical dates etc. Just when you came to a creatively written immersion in the historical narrative, it would return back to dry analysis. I was overall disappointed with the end result, despite the fascinating subject matter. Guess I'll just stick to Lazy Man's History (i.e. TV)
