I liked Tan's writing in the sense that it felt modern and colloquial, but still touched on important topics. The book talks a lot about the supernatural, what love means, and lost connections to culture. I thought the end part of the book was particularly interesting, and I enjoyed the book's comments on relationships and mortality. ...more
